The Authors Have The Real Worl Experience To Back Up This Book  Feb 9, 2010
The authors of this book have been 'doing stewardship' for a long time and it shows. In addition to writing this book that are regular speakers at seminars at the International Catholic Stewardship Conference. They also have worked very hard to bring stewardship to the Philippines. Their grasp of the essence of stewardship is powerful.
Stewardship is first and foremost a personal spiritual journey. Therefore it does not lend itself well to 'how to' type books. The book opens with very strong discussion of the deep spirituality of stewardship. This fills most of the first 70 or so pages(right at the beginning of the book - where it belongs). After laying that firm foundation the authors make the transition to practical 'how to' methods and practices. The final third of the book is filled with examples and samples of materials and processes that they have developed over the many years they have worked together.
I have read many books on stewardship and I doubt that there is a better one out there. I think you will find it highly beneficial no matter where you and your parish is on your stewardship journey.
